Meet our Pastor!
Pastor Jason & Michelle Williams
Jason Williams was raised in Scioto County, Ohio. He grew up in church, getting saved at a VBS at age 7. He graduated from Wheelersburg High School in 1995. In 1999, he graduated from Shawnee State University with a plastic engineering degree. Also that year he married his wife, Michelle. They then moved away to Athens County where they lived for the next five years. His job then moved to Canal Winchester, Ohio, which moved the family to Fairfield County. It was there, at Bible Baptist Church in Lancaster, Ohio, that God started calling Jason into the ministry. He taught several classes at his church and then accepted a position as assistant pastor. In 2017, God began to burden his heart to go back home to preach. In November 2020, Jason, Michelle, and their eight children, Rachel, Jacob, Abigail, Elisabeth, Sarah, Benjamin, Matthew, and Hannah packed up and moved to a farm in Jackson, Ohio.
While waiting on God’s direction, Jason started helping out at a local church. God closed the door, but opened many more as He started to reveal His plan for Jason and his family. With the help and support of pastor, missionary, and church planter, Dr. John Adams, Jason has realized that God’s calling was to plant a church in Jackson County, Ohio. He is being sent from Mountain Springs Baptist Church in Albuquerque, New Mexico, as a church planter.
Jason’s main goal is to follow God by reaching the lost and discipling believers with God’s truth by preaching His word. Jason and Michelle have a passion for children’s and teen’s ministries, as they are our future. It is his hope that Harvest Baptist Church will reach many families for Christ in the local and surrounding communities.
Jason considers the calling to open Harvest Baptist Church a privilege to be used by God. He is also excited to see the work that God is going to do not only in this church, but also in the community. The harvest truly is ripe and there is a work for all to do! Please prayerfully consider Harvest Baptist Church as the church that God would have you and your family be a part of and ask Him what you can do to reach the lost!
